For this soulful engagement Shana will be accompanied by this outstanding ensemble of renowned musicians: electrifying guitarist Terrence Brewer who was named The San Francisco Bay Area's #1 Jazz Guitarist by David Becker of The San Francisco Examiner, stylish pianist Colin Hogan, masterful bassist Aaron Germain, and crowd-pleasing drummer Rob Rhodes. Their set list is comprised of such timeless standards as What a Wonderful World inspired by the birth of Shanas niece, Close to You which represents her fathers love and musical influence, and Devil May Care as an ode to letting go and living in the moment. For singer, songwriter and performer Shana Dinha it all began with Phantom of the Opera. An Assyrian-American inspired by her guitarist and vocalist father, her parents took her to see the play at 5 years old. She couldnt stop singing once it ended. Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Pleasanton, California, Shana was awarded The Superior Command Solo Performance from California Music Education Association. Shortly after this achievement she claimed an Outstanding Vocalist Award from Music in the Parks.
Following a turn on Oxygen reality television series Fix My Choir, she sang her way to victory at world renowned jazz club Yoshis, winning competition Jazz Search West. Her excellent resume also includes singing backup for international star Josh Groban in front of 18,000. Shanas Rising Stars performance at the iconic California Jazz Conservatory in 2017 sold out 2 weeks in advance.
Renowned guitarist Terrence Brewer has worked with Diana Krall, among other notables. Stylish pianist Colin Hogan currently co-leads group The Hogan Bros. Bassist Aaron Germains 2 decades of excellence includes work with Yusef Lateef, Scott Hamilton, Stanley Jordan, and Bonie Raitt. Exciting drummer Rob Rhodes has provides foot-tapping beats for Ledisi, Regina Carter, Joyce Cooling, and Robert Stewart.
